I am considering different options for my Spitfire diff. I'm currently
running a welded MkIV diff but I have a couple of questions. I have read
some on the subject but I am interested in the current train of thought.

1. What is the purpose of welding the diff? (safety/performance)

2. What is a good option that is available today to upgrade the Spitfire
welded diff?

Thanks
