Somewhat on topic and related to Corvair hubs.

I have a set of Corvair hubs developed by Marty Sukey for TYR4A thru TR6 =
along with axles custom made by GoodParts; again for TR4A thru TR6. =
Trailing arms need modified but can be made to work well.

=20

Pricing would be very reasonable to FOT if interested.

Mike D.

Good to hear that you are inquiring about the GT6 axles.

This is one of the main development points of any significant GT6.=20

Perhaps the most important.

I=E2=80=99d stay away from anything with even the slightest whiff of a =
swing axle design.

Consider engineering designs for much more powerful cars.

 Smart custom engineering is required.=20

Options often Include parts from:

-Datsun 240-280 style as proven by Steve Smith.=20

-TR6=E2=80=99s=20

-Corvair=20

-Corvette

-Custom made.

People that follow wisdom on this topic, end up with great cars.

=20

Several of the best GT6=E2=80=99s ever built will be available for =
viewing at Road America this summer at the Kastner Cup.=20

You likely won=E2=80=99t find all the answers to this query in a simple =
internet thread.=20

However, most, if not all of your questions can be answered by studying =
some very successful examples that will be kicking ass on track. The =
actively racing GT6 guys are doing some cool stuff and will be available =
to lead you in the right direction.=20

to answer Mike=E2=80=99s earlier question, I recall, maybe 5-6 years =
ago, seeing Jim Dolan at Summit Point in the carousel in either the =
Group 44 GT6 or the Kastner GT6, and one of his rear wheels going past =
him. I think he had five laps on the Rimmer or Canley assembly and the =
hub sheared off. Fortunately a low speed part of the track. Not sure =
if that was a one-off, and he subsequently went on to run them without =
trouble. Perhaps the Dolans can chime in as to what they run on their =
numerous GT6s and what this failure was.

Amici,

=20

The question is which model GT6 you have, Mk1 and MK3 cars have swing =
axles and the GT6+ has fully articulated axles. The axles shown in the =
pics posted are for early and late cars.. Might suggest looking at the =
CV conversion axles being offered by Canley Classics in England for the =

Machine, Michigan ( since have closed their doors ).
