I didn't know Ray that well, but we talked many years back, late 70's. Met =
him at the MCSCC driver's school in 77 when I got started. I had the pleasu=
re of some small talk at an MCSCC driver's school a few years back when I h=
ad a student he was helping with a 944. A great guy in so many ways. He wil=
l be missed by many more than we'll ever know. RIP and I look forward to se=
eing you again on the big track above.

Ray was in charge of the VSCDA Drivers School when I took my first vintag=
e racing laps at Blackhawk Farms in 1993. I felt welcome immediately. Ray w=

tor for my introduction to racing via SCCA in my Dodge Omni GLH. He then he=
lped me locate my first Triumph TR3a to set up for vintage racing. The memo=
ries and cars continued for many years...
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 If there is a vintage sports car race scheduled soon in heave=
n, Ray is surely on the grid!
