All,
I was just rereading the story about these shirts in one of Kas=E2=80=99 pre=
p manuals (the one with Uncle Jack on the cover, Racing, Winning, and other M=
yths, page 16 or so). These shirts showed up at the 1966 Daytona race, the v=
ery same race featured in a recently popular car movie about some guy drivin=
g a GT 40. Interesting, at least to me, how so many stories intertwine whe=
n it comes to racing in the 60s. To think, Shelby had everything on the lin=
e at that race (at least if you believe what=E2=80=99s in the movie) and Kas=
=E2=80=99 guys busting his chops with a knock off Shelby shirt.
Here=E2=80=99s to you Kas! To bad the cameras didn=E2=80=99t pan a little l=
eft or right, they might have caught one of these shirts on film (assuming t=
he movie guys were accurate in their portrayal).
