COTA, ahh COTA.. I have a lot of laps at COTA, but most of them have been i=
n the "Beandito" endurance racer TR6, and even more on a bicycle. The venue=
is great, but not very vintage in aesthetics. If the FOT would want to mak=
e a go of it in Texas once again we would be happy to host. I am sure we co=
uld put on a good show even though we have had some attrition in the ranks =
of our Texas based FOT. COTA is a choice for sure but both Hallett and espe=
cially Eagles Canyon have had significant upgrades. ECR has been almost com=
pleted rebuilt from our bouncy K-Cup days.=20
The demise of Texas World Speedway and losing the 3 race weekends that were=
held there annually has hurt as the nearest race for the Austin based guys=
is 5 hours away (other than COTA). We have also had a number of racing ret=
iree's that sold off cars and others that moved on to other series and/or c=
ars. We will not be able to count on double digits participation from local=
s if you all want to come to Texas. Having help run 2 K-Cups with low parti=
cipation numbers I would rather see the event held closer to places that mo=
re cars can get to in a reasonable tow.=20

COTA seems to be fairly midway between east and west coast pending your lat=

If I actually get Killer back together this year and am in a position to
get a competition license from some sanctioning body, I would like the
2021 cup to be within a reasonable towing distance from Salt lake City.
