memories ever. There were </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">many from that =
weekend, like rattle can paint repairs and the already </p><p class=3D"MsoN=
ormal">mentioned fragrant incident. I wonder if I still have the well=
worn and </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">tattered T shirt stashed somewhere in =
the house? I know I've told this </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">tale befo=
re, but....</p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=3D"MsoN=
ormal">Anyway, the feature race was getting close, the drivers headed out t=
o </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">the pregrid. All the others made their w=
ay to the bleachers there at </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">the final turn befo=
re the start/finish line. There was just SO MUCH </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"=
>energy in the crowd, such an incredible event already. Everybody was=
</p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">yakking away in spirited animation. That is unt=
il the amazing field of </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">gathered Triumphs came i=
nto view on the pace lap. It got REAL quiet all </p><p class=3D"MsoNo=
rmal">of a sudden in the stands. Well, not counting the roar of the e=
ngines </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">rolling by on the track. I don't th=
ink there was a dry eye out there, </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">it was just s=
uch an incredible, emotional sight to see what started as a </p><p class=3D=
"MsoNormal">dream become a reality, to see that impressive collection of Tr=
iumphs </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">roaring by en masse on their way to the g=
reen flag.</p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=3D"MsoNo=
rmal">It was a great beginning.</p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p>=

As some of you may </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">recall there was a vin=
tage-race@autox list for a while. It was one of </p><p class=3D"MsoNo=
rmal">the ones that got pruned due to lack of interest, as so many other </=
p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">on-line options opened up as the network grew.&nbs=
p; But a bit over a year </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal">after that Mid Ohio eve=
nt I wrote a message to that list, which included </p><p class=3D"MsoNormal=
