Gotta agree with Glen. Brand new Denso means quality. Back when I was wo=
rking at the local import shop the various Japanese cars we serviced would =
regularly get 100,000+ miles on their Denso starters, then the failure mode=
was worn out solenoid contacts, which listed for about $15 at the time. R=
eplace those and they would get another 100K out of those things.

A good friend who is in the bidness of rebuilding starters/gennys has point=
ed out several points in the reman process that are failure-prone, and wear=
limits of some components may be very generous.
As with any "rebuilt" you take your chances...

Group, I just installed one of the Wosp starters Ralph fixed me up with. Th=
is starter appears to be a higher quality than the gear reduction starter i=
t replaced. The fitment is better and they incorporated some good design fe=
atures. Ralph gave me a good price on top of it. If you need a starter you =
