google maps says 10 hours for me, but I usually make stops at Hoosier Tire=
East to talk about tire compounds and pick up a few and then also seem to =
get distracted by the Summit Racing facility near Akron where I walk around=
the showroom dazed for an hour or so before picking up some doo-dads and r=
acing stuff... I think the shortest time for me from Massachusetts to MidOh=
io has been like 14 hours. But it is so worth it.

Hi - I think Rod knows Mid-Ohio pretty well, he ran at the Runoffs at least=
once. I know because I was crewing for another EP Triumph (Chip Bond) and =
Rod was paddocked right across from us.
FWIW, I plan to be there in 2020 with my TR6. Bill D. - I'm also looking fo=
rward to the Glen in SEP this year. I'm also going to go there in July with=
SCCA and the Historic Racing Group. I am totally looking forward to it.

Early on in Beady Eye Vintage Triumph racing, Don Brick, Bob Wismer, and I =
had a list of tracks that we wanted to race just to say we've done that one=

en hour tow from our location in the Midwest.=C2=A0 Well, we did it, and we=
liked it so much that we did it sixteen years in a row.
When we could, we'd tow in tandem, and maintain contact with CB radios.=C2=
=A0 Listening to audio books was always my crutch for long tows. =C2=A0
Absolutely put MID-OHIO on your list.=C2=A0 Start making plans.

Hi, I just wanted to express our gratitude to the FOT people who are charge=
d with making the location choices for the cup. I don't know if we would ha=
ve ventured back east for our initial kc event, so the west coast race made=
it easy for us being from phoenix. I am afraid we are hooked now and will =
indeed make some long tows. It was an absolute pleasure meeting so many tr =
racers, and how great it was to talk with Mr. Kastner to remember my first =
dealings with him and Carl Swanson when I first started racing our 6. I was=
especially relieved that he didn't chastise me for so blatantly copying hi=
s paint scheme. Hopefully he knows its because of the spell it put on me wh=
en I first saw Carl driving it at Phoenix international in early 70's! It w=
as also great to see all the Mueller pictures and meeting John and his mom.=
Lee was also a big influence in my early SCCA days and lent a hand several=
times at Riverside, Holtville and anywhere else where he saw we could use =
some friendly advice. He was a true racer's racer. Also high on the list of=
=C2=A0 true racers there was Joe Huffaker. If there is a nicer guy on the p=
lanet, I don't know who he could possibly be. I raced with him for years in=
SCCA, and he has always been not only the consummate racer, but all round =
good guy.=C2=A0 I want to say in closing=C2=A0 we had a great time and just=
want to thank everyone who made it possible. We look forward to making it =
