Joe, I use this model on my 21' class C. It's mounted up high on the roof
ladder. I've used this set up for a few years but this summer I bought a
new trailer and now I can't see out the rear window over the tire rack when
I'm towing. I converted the motorhome one to a wired unit, same hardware
just bought a 50' cable and ran it under the chassis (E450) to the cab, and
put a 2nd wireless camera on the trailer. The monitor has two inputs so I
switch between channels to either see what's behind the motorhome or what's
behind the trailer. The instructions tell you to wire the camera power to
the reverse lights so it turns on when you back up. I connected that wire
to a circuit that has power when the car is on so I can use them while I'm
driving. Easy enough to turn the monitor off if you don't want any
distractions.
