Subject: [Fot] Nomination for Dr. Jeremy Kinney 2nd Please.
To our Friends of Triumph:
In our midst, we have historians, photographers, racers, rallyists, competi=
tion executives, and the best Triumph Wrenches in the world. It=92s time to=
add another one.
Jeremy Kinney has had a lifelong passion for Triumph sports cars. One of hi=
s earliest memories is when his parents took him and his brother to the par=
k in the family car, a =9164 TR4, with their tricycles strapped to the lugg=
age rack. Between his father and his brother, they still have the TR4 and h=
ave added a =9265 Spitfire, =9266 TR4A, =9271 GT6, and an =9280 Spitfire.
A trained historian, Jeremy is writing a history of sports cars and America=
n culture. So far, he has published two articles, =93Racing on Runways: The=
Strategic Air Command and Sports Car Racing in the 1950s=94 and =93Sports =
Car Paradise: Racing in Los Angeles,=94 and presented his work at the Sorbo=
nne, the International Motor Racing Research Center, the Smithsonian, and v=
arious universities. While Triumphs and British sports cars are of particul=
ar interest, Jeremy also plans to explore the American, Italian, German, an=
d Japanese dimensions of sports car history in his book.
