Good Morning,
I had a great time at the cup! The organizers did a fantastic job
and it was difficult to watch them struggle with their car. It was great to
meet more of the folks on this list, and I'm sorry I didn't spend more time
meeting more of you. I loved driving the track imagining I was going through
the esses at LeMans in the park like atmosphere.
I'm just going to throw out one possible suggestion for next time as a way
to help level the playing field. Maybe the side curtain cars could all
standardize on the use of wire wheels. They're really not that bad. I only
lost four spokes out of the front left during the cup race and that was the one
that was getting leaned on a bit harder than the others that only snapped one
or two. As Kas mentioned, the spokes are easy to swap out without even taking
the tire off the rim! The impressive hammering to remove the knock offs was
just another display of strength aimed at winning the favor of the crowd.
Let me know your thoughts and see you in September at Road America, I'll
be the guy holding a handful of spokes.
Henry Morrison
