Thanks for the replies so far. Pleased that nobody yet is suggesting OD
internal mechanical problems. What about cleaning out the mysterious oil
passage that might be blocked?
I concluded that electrics are OK because the solenoid is brand new and moves
and holds the hydraulic valve actuating lever when called upon.
