In the course of rebuilding a set of Weber dcoe 9 carbs I noticed two holes in the bottom of the sump, in the corners, on either side of the accelerator inlet valve. Using compressed air, one hole lets air out the top of the carb and the other does nothing. This is the case for both carbs and the same hole in both carbs.
