I used to have big problems restarting my 'HOT' early TR3 (SU carbs) after
enduro pit stops, red flag stops, etc. But these 'HOT' restarting problems
went away after (at Henry Frye's suggestion) I put my electric fuel pump on
a switch. Thereafter when the car was 'HOT' I would turn off the fuel pump,
count to ten, before turning off the engine. Have not had a 'HOT' engine
starting problem since. Even when coming back to the paddock after a track
session, I now turn off the fuel pump, count to ten, before turning off the
engine. If I do that, no problem restarting the 'HOT' race car in my
paddock either. Not sure how this relates to Stromberg carbs.
