Rich, according to the SCCA web site it can take 1 to 4 weeks for a rule
change to have the initial review, depending on when it was submitted. You
may be waiting for a while. Joe

Subject: [Fot] Vacuum System and SCCA
Date: Thu, 2 Feb 2012 16:05:26 -0500
I called the tech department at SCCA national headquarters and asked for an
explanation, the reasoning behind their prohibition of an exhaust system
vacuum system and the response I got was something along the lines of " I
don't know. That rule has been around longer than I have been here. You'll
have to write a letter to the CRB (club racing board) and ask them".
So,
that's what I did. No answer yet, but I have gotten what looks like an
automatically generated email that has a tracking number for my question.
When I checked a couple hours ago , the status was listed as "awaiting review
by committee, before being referred to CRB"
Hmmm., this may take a while.
I'll keep you posted.
