Yes, it's one of the Poopers, I think there's three, I know there's two--the
ilver one you saw and a red one built by Pete Lovely and currently owned by
enny Akers. I race with both of them, a fine and spirited competition with
uys I trust. Cameron was at the Glen last year in part to make sure the
riginal owner/builder got to see it. His name is on the tip of my tongue but
can't recall it.
Cameron is about as nice a guy as you're likely to meet and a hell of a good
river. Besides being competitors we live about 500 yards from each other in
ortland, and one island away from each other in Hawaii. Yet somehow the only
lace we generally get together is the track.

I had a late 50's Road and Track Magazine with an article about the Pooper
that I took to the Vintage GP. The Pooper was parked near me and I went
ver
to give the magazine to the owner.There was an older fellow there (I have
o
watch when I start talking about older fellows!) talking with the owner. I

told he had built the original car. He ended up with the magazine. And
isty
eyes. And the owner bought me lunch.
