A lot of people had comments and most had positive things to say about
our idea.
1. No Spitfire drivers are left out, as they are continuation cars. Hi Tim,
Any chance of expanding the years up to at least 1972. Alot of Spit and GT6
drivers will be left out if you cut it off at 1965.
Thanks
Andy Stark
72 Gt6
72 Spitfire.
2. As for schedule, I thought that was in the original release. The events
are SVRA Roebling in April, the Mitty at Road Atlanta, the first weekend in
May. Mid Ohio SVRA in June and then HSR Savannah in October.
3. As for adding other events. It is our intent to host a four event series
this year which is manageable. Once this has succeeded, we will most likely
widen the series and invite other sanctioning bodies to get involved.
4. As for other smaller sanctioning bodies. I heartily agree that everyone
does things a little differently and some offer more track time for less
money than HSR and SVRA. That said, while we like and respect and write about
all sanctioning bodies and will continue to do so, the guys at SVRA and HSR
asked me for ideas to make my crowd (you guys) feel more at home at their
events again and this small-bore series is what we came up with. Obviously, if
you support it, I will have ammo to go to bat next year for more of this
type of stuff and an expanded schedule. If you poo poo it, this whole idea
will
be much more difficult.
5. Someone asked about enduro length. The races will be 40-60 minutes,
depending on the event with a mandatory pit stop. JK Jackson and I will use
this
format to share the TR3. The idea was to make car sharing practical.
6. Any other questions, let me know. I am here night and day.
