I found a 69 Spitfire MK3 for sale at an auto dealer in Enfield, CT.
Apparently he is selling it for a friend. They are asking $2550. It looks
nice from the outside, but the drivers floor was hacked up and a piece of
sheet metal fitted. The old floor is partially there around the perimeter and
the newer floor is on top of that. There is some rot at the passenger side
where the rear trailing arm attaches to the body. Seats are ripped.
Aftermarket exhaust system. Dealer says it runs. I did not have time to look
any further at it.
I am going to pass on buying it, since I don't need or have time for another
restoration project. I downloaded a few exterior pictures and can email them
if anyone is interested.
