Newark would be an easier choice driving wise. Getting from JFK
across Manhattan can be a nightmare in the afternoon if you are not
familiar with alternate routes and short cuts. Newark has the option of
getting on the N.J. Turnpike to Rt. 280, to Rt 80 west into P.A. Any
where from 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours depending on traffic. Both Newark and
JFK seem to experience the same delays from weather because the distance
between them is not very far.
