Indeed those are factory optional MAGNESIUM wheels.=C2=A0 They came in 5", 5=
.5" and 6" width by 15" for the big TR's.=C2=A0 While not common on the grou=
nd here, they are often seen on Ebay.=C2=A0 The 5" wheels were not the most=20=
common size (5.5" probably the most common) and may be a bit more difficult=20=
to locate, but not impossible.
I still use a set of them on my current TR4A.=C2=A0 They were manufactured b=
y American Racing here in the states.
Still rollin on "vintage" wheels...

In Australia, we are currently restricted to 5-inch steel wheels (or optiona=
lly wires) primarily because that is what was available during the period. T=
humbing through some Triumph history books I came across a photo of Lee Midg=
ley racing in California using mag wheels. The caption says =E2=80=9CThe mag=
nesium wheels were a factory racing option which appeared on every racing ca=
r until the introduction of the TR7=E2=80=9D. Assuming there is some truth t=
o the caption, does anyone recall anything about these wheels? In particular=
would be interested in knowing what widths they were available in at the ti=
me.
