Saw a TR3A that had over 200,000 one owner miles last weekend at the annual
VTR/NATC meet in Ypsilanti, MI that had just about that much removed from the
area where the motor would have interfered with the cross brace. He cut it
out and welded in a vertical piece of 1/8 steel to re-close the tube. There
is not much up/down movement to the tube as it's main purpose seems to be to
keep the spring/shock towers from "swaying" in and out!

Subject: [Fot] TR6 piece between radiator
and motor
Has anyone successfully cut down the size of cross piece in front
of the
motor between the motor and radiator? I need to get another half inch
of
clearance for an electric fan. Thanks,
