Good news:
One of the manufacturers agrees to make the journal size to your spec. So, if
you want chevy, ford or Honda (or for that matter any size..) that has to be
known in advance and placed with the order. But, this is a very good thing as
domestic (chevy/Ford)rods are easy and cheap. Bearings are easy to get and this
solves a whole lot of issues. The Center to Center distances may mean ordering
pistons, however.
I know some of you have already looked into this in detail.
Which domestic rod legnth comes closest to std Triumph?
I will let you know tommorrow about costs.
