Ninco makes excellent slot cars. While not as detail heavy or elaborate as
say, a Fly or even Scalextric, They are very durable. Ninco also offer a
good range of "Classic" sports cars (XK 120 Jaguars, Big Healeys 356
Porsches, etc.). The other companies don't offer nearly the choice of older
sports car.

The difference between the track systems determine a lot of people's
choices. Scalextric (Hornby) seems to offer the widest range of track
components this is good. That being said Scaley's lane width isn as wide as
Ninco or Carrera. Carrera has the widest lane available among the "big 4"
the Track material is a styrene plastic, therefore it's less able to take
the abuse that either Ninco, SCX, or Scalextric, which are made of a vinyl
plastic, can. Size wise Ninco falls somewhere between Scaley and Carrera.
Finally, Scalextric and Carrera track surfaces are smoother than Ninco or
SCX.

The choice for many will break down how much space they have or the local
availability of track systems. If you've go loads of space and won't be
moving the track often Carrera is a great choice. If your space is more
limited, Scalextric, SCX or Ninco might get the nod

As for the cars, I have a number of Ninco cars in my collection... and a
number of modifieds and rebuilds, based on Ninco components (their classic
wire wheels are about as good as you can find in the slot world). My store
bought Ninco cars don't seem to get the the same amount of track time that
the other cars do.

`Hope this hleps

That's not a leak... My car's just marking its territory...
