I have a good friend who lives near Cape Town, South Africa, he owns an
immaculate Midnight Blue TR5, and it is one of the few on the continent. I have
seen two, both in the Cape, and they have no provlems running them 6,000 miles
away from the UK, so neither should people in the USA.
(I went to a wonderful seafood restaurant at Simonstown with him in that car,
it made a glorious noise, and when the very attractive young waitress asked
"is that a Ferrari sir?" to which his reply was, of course, "it is, if you want
it to be my dear!"...)
There are specialists in the UK who can supply new, or better PI parts with
no problems.
Chris Witor, or Pumfords spring to mind...
Best Regards
Leon
Almost went that route myself, but prefer Webers instead of all that modern
tomfoolery!
I think I was affected by staring at one too many vintage race cars with rows
of weber sidedraughts as a kid!
