There was a sense of excitment at the new KIC (formerly BRIC).
SVRA sanctioning may have brought in entries not seen before at BRIC.
Of course Beady Eye was there with the TR3A and Thunderbolt.
Alan Washatka (sp) was there with his TR6.
John Houlton delayed the debut of his Kellison Double Bubble (Triumph Based)
and drove his new & rare Ginetta Coupe.
John Fridrici ran the white striped purple TR3A
John Reed ran his 'Zippy' GT6 and then "retired" after his 30 years of racing.
Bill Hart came from the Pacific Northwest with Devin-Triumph
Wayne Obry? Spitfire.
Bill Warner was running the Newman "44" TR6...good to see it again.
Bill Thumel (Abacus Racing) ran their TR4.
Missing from action, but spectating was Jack Drews.
The Can-AM Reunion was likely the largest, ever. I think it went well except
for one hapless mechanic who hit the loud pedal and parked his boss' Can-Am
car in a water-filled ditch--upside down--en route to Elkart Lake's street car
concours. (Tipping a Can-Am is an amazing feat but not good for job security)
Nice turnout for the marque featured Corvette race.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR TRIUMPHS: SVRA returns to Road America in May with a
Bond Inspired MOTRAH-007. They will be featuring MOrgan, TRiumph, and
Austin-Healeys. This is not an (un)official FoT event, but certainly worth
considering.
This event will feature our own race and an extra practice session together.
