I find this site very interesting. Thanks for pointing us to it.
This site causes me to make several inferences due to the content of the text.
Basically, the oils seem to differ in viscosity, as related to
clearances. Bigger clearances, higher viscosity.
From the temperature standpoint, it sounds like there is a breaking
point at about 240 deg - some oils specifically recommended if temps
exceed 240.
Additive packages that are not legal on the street. This confirms
what some of the listers have said about changes taking place in
additive packages to comply with Fed regulations.
Interesting also is the HP gain -- three HP in a NASCAR engine,
percentage-wise, is pretty tiny for us 160 hp TR engined guys.
Very interesting.
