We have built these as race engines before. John has correctly identified
the small bearing variety. These bearing are unfortunately very hard to get,
especially in modern materials.
The very early engines also use different conrods with wider shells and of
course, wider journals on the crankpins.
The small bearing blocks are different in the casting in many ways, none of
which cause a problem however, unless you happen to be working with a very
early T2000 or Vanguard variety which does not have the 4 lugs for the
engine mount needed in a GT6.
