Exactly right. The difference between the two uprated axle kits is in the
spacer. Since the (vastly superior to stock) aluminum hubs use vastly
superior (and wider) bearings, the spacer is a different shorter design for
the southwick hubs. The axle itself is the same. I'm sure that Ken would
sell you the other spacer kit if you bought the southwick hub. I may be a
bit biased, but I certainly don't want to end up on my head again. The
Southwick hubs eliminate all of the weak spots of the stock hubs. I am not
aware of anyone having problems with them. The stock hubs break between
the outside and inside face occasionally (that can cause bad things to
occur), and the stock bearings don't take racing loads well. While losing
the wheel bearing doesn't generally cause a wheel to come off, it does end
whatever session you're in early and cause a bit of unwelcome frantic
activity at the track.
