Hello:
A friend of mine loaned me an interesting document - the 1957 British Auto
Parts catalog complete with all sorts of parts and accessories... and prices.
Did you know that Lodge had a platinum tip spark plug back then? Yup, sold
for $3.55 each. For the safety minded race driver, you could buy the "famous"
Seagraves crash helmet, "the latest word in construction, comfort, style and
appearance. Covered with white leather, magnificently finished throughout.
Price....$$27.50." Or how about a new tonneau cover for $31.95; convertible
tops for $42.95; or maybe you need some new John Bull fan belts or rubber
hoses; Vandervell bearings for $6.85; Hepolite pistons for your TR at $10.00
each. Oh those were the days.
