I have had Poly bushings in my street TR-250 - front & rear and solid
mounts for steering rack (Good Parts - not the @#$%^&* Moss mounts that
split and they claim "must be something I did"). I like them and the
car rides the way I expected. Some may consider this harsh but ride is
a matter of personal preference.
The poly outlasts rubber bushings by multiple times (not yet determined
as I haven't had to replace them yet). I'll keep mine.

I might have to change my recommendations as I agree that the new
stuff
has a very short life expectancy. It is difficult to explain to
customers
who have spent a lot of money having me restore their car and then have
to
tell them that a lot of the new stuff, especially rubber items, will not
last long. I have had suspension bushing rot in less than two years on
some
cars. That is less than 10,000 miles. New stuff sucks and the dealers,
Moss,
Vic. Brit, etc. had better get their butts in gear and fix the problems.
