We have experimented with this, and found no measurable difference on 2 different race cams. In theory, the longer trumpets would be better for cams making torque at higher revs We have had more luck with moving the air filter away from the plenum. We got noticeable improvements on the dyno doing this. We are using a K&N PI filter in a custom box, mounted about 8" away from the plenum inlet Hope this helps Terry O'Beirne |
