This past weekend at The Mitty was an experience I will never forget.
Had it not been for the FOT and my crew it would have been a complete
bust for me. It was an honor for me to finally meet the members of the
FOT that showed up.

For those of you who were not there and didn't see me and my crew
scrambling around all weekend, it seems like I had every problem
imaginable; 3 year old fuel cell foam deteriorating, clogging up
filters, failing fuel pumps and regulator, failing ignition and last but
not least the slipping clutch problem. The help and camaraderie of the
FOT members overshadowed all the problems I had.

I just wanted to name a few that stuck out in my tired, blurry mind.

First of all thank you Richard Taylor for all your organizational
efforts in making this past weekend possible.

Kas Kasner thanks for all the advice and the "reading" of my spark
plugs. Also, thanks for autographing every thing that The Georgia
Triumph folks brought to you.

Thank you Marty Sukey for bringing me parts from the frozen north and
organizing the shirt order.
The FOT tattoos were a big hit with the kids (big and small).

Bob Lang, thanks for the help with the ignition.

Irv Korey, Thanks for the pressure plate, sound advice and friendship.
although the latter may get me some embarrassing exposure on the
internet.

Henry Frye, Thanks for the offer on the clutch disc and the use of the
alignment tool. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I had taken you up on the
disc.
It now seems that the slipping clutch was linked to a low friction
coefficient on the disc I was using.

Bill Babcock, thank you for the offer on the fuel pump. Steave, one of
my crew guys had a new pump and regulator at home that we used.
Hey, did anyone else steal a golf cart besides Bill?

JK, thanks for the suspension and Weber setup advice.

Thanks to Tom Strange, for the big tent to keep the sunshine (both
liquid and dry) off of us.

Uncle Jack, thanks for the clutch help and for being such an
understanding neighbor with all the activity going on.

There were numerous others whose name escapes me now but offered help,
advice and encouragement which I deeply appreciate.

I was wondering, did any of you have time to look up and watch the
helicopter flying around the track like I did during the race?
