Rich there is a kit that allows you to  remove the fan and hub and secure 
the balancer . The kit has a pinned washer and shorter blot. T he supplier 
was posted buy a list member about a year ago It may have come from 
Cambridgesport  Its quit a wheight reduction  >>> In my case I just had the 
hub that holds the fan turned down to just the size of the shaft and used 
the stock bolt.There was some wght reduction but not as much as the kit 
offered. It worked out well because on the end closest to the balancer I had 
turned and made flat to make a base for a trigger wheel for the crank  ing . 
Anyway perhaps some will again gives us the supplier of the fan elimination 
kit.                rob
