Don't mean to be throwing a monkey wrench into the works, but has anyone
tried pricing embroidery ? With the proliferation of digital automatic
embroidery machines, the prices for repetitive embroidery work have dropped
dramatically.
I don't know the details, but SCTOA got some custom embroidered jackets a
few years back for $50, and the jackets themselves must've cost at least
$35. Big club logo on the back, car logo on the sleeve, name & car model on
the breast. All embroidery, no silk screen (which has a tendency to fall
off as the garment wears).
One of the neat things about digital embroidery, it's easy to do things like
turn on some colors and turn off other ones, due to background color. The
setup is also stored in a computer file, so it's easy to save it and come
back later.
