event. Also, Richard Taylor has blocked off 20 rooms at a good rate at the
Holliday Inn Express for the FoT. Reservation info will be included in the
websites.
The FoT will quietly arrive and proudly take their place at Road Atlanta.

"MG - Triumph Challenge" Announced
- At Road Atlanta in April -
There will be a classic British face off at Road Atlanta, Georgia, this
April, where MGs and Triumphs will battle for bragging rights at HSR's "Walter
Mitty" vintage races. Special race sessions are scheduled for the two
marques,
and the MG Vintage Racers have designated this event as their "Focus Event
2005", and the "Friends of Triumph" (FOT), are making it a featured event of
theirs. These two marques last did head to head battle at Mid Ohio in 1999.
A large turnout of MGs and Triumphs is predicted. As of the end of
December, 46 MG racers from all over North America have already indicated they
plan
to be there - as momentum is building. By race day, over 75 MGs are expected
to be competing - and add to that a gaggle of Triumphs, and all the other
vintage race cars, which will make for an exciting weekend. While snow is
still
melting up north, Atlanta in April is beautiful springtime - with Road
Atlanta's 2.54 mile track set in the rolling hills of Georgia, with 12
challenging
turns, and wonderful facilities.
MGVR and FOT are working together on special activities for the weekend to
supplement their friendly competition, including a joint dinner and a tour of
the nearby Panoz Auto Development operation - which makes high end road race
cars. It will be an exciting and fun weekend - especially for MG and Triumph
racers - BE THERE - April 28 - May 1st!
