Since we don't yet have a Joe (H), we need one to complete the set. And
since he's a Joe and a Texican, I'll second the nomination.

Amici,
I'd like to nominate Joe Hovey to our ranks. Joe has taken the
plunge into Triumph racing with his purchase of a 68 Spitfire vintage
racer. He was at TWS for the last CVAR event of the year with his
car. He managed to get out once for the exhibition event on
saturday and got a feel for the car and the track. Next february he
plans on going through the CVAR drivers school and then work
towards getting his competition license.
Below is a little of Joe's background.
How about it, do I have a second?!
Brad

I was born in St Paul, Minn. Grew up in the NE Atlanta suburbs. I
always loved the looks of British roadsters as a child. I became a
fan of Triumphs during my many trips to Road Atlanta while
watching runoff & other racing events. My first car was a 72 brg
Spitfire which I still own.I've also owned a TR7 until a tree smashed
it in a storm. Presently I have 5 Triumphs together. 1)My 72 spit in
restoration. 2) Another rusted 72spit for parts. 3) A rusted 70 GT6
for possible Spit6 or upgraded parts. 4) A 68 spit I was going to use
for a racing project. 5) My latest car is a vintage 67spit racer that I
hopefully plan to race with the appreciated and helpful advice of
fellow CVAR members.
