Although sometimes ignorant myself, I try not to be an expert; sometimes the
result is quite amusing.
I was talking to a Mini driver after a race a few years back and watched as he
carefully removed the roller rockers, wrapped the in newspaper then a cloth,
and carefully placed them in an empty drawer of the toolbox. I couldn't
figure out if he didn't want to keep the valve springs compressed, had a
superstition about rocker not touching tools or what..
Eventually I couldn't stand the mystery any more and asked why he removed the
rocker shaft with such care.
"Oh, because I broke one of my rockers so I borrowed this set and I have to
give them back"
