Just a notice to let everyone know that Ed Barker, one of the first Spitfire racers in this country died Saturday of a heart attack. Eddie was 84. Ed was my first Spitfire driver and gave great assistance in writing the Competition Preparation manuals for the Spitfire. He also drove for me in the 1965 Sebring featuring the factory Spitfire coupes. Hard racer and an innovative smart guy. |
