That pink TR3 was built in Group 44's original ship in Falls Church, VA by.
Any source of cash to support their own efforts was welcome. The shop was a
cinder-block extension on a garden apartment building owned by Ed Mernone,
father of Pat Mernone who was a top-notch SCCA racer in her Morgan 4/4. G

I certainly remember it. I had just started racing my TR-3 in 1964. I
believe that it was 1965 at Nelson Ledges where she lapped me -- passed me as
if I were sitting still. Bob Stanford (US Air mechanic) was chasing her in
his white TR-3. His sway bar broke, and he went on his head.
