One of the cleverest cars I ever saw in a "British" car show was about ten years ago in a local show in Schenectady, NY. Someone basically grafted a Model A Ford Coupe body (possibly scaled down, i.e., narrowed, chopped and/or channeled) onto a Spridget floor pan, KEEPING the 1275, dual SU-ed motor and 13" wheels in front. As I recall, it had the requisite larger wheels (near-slicks) and tires in back, and it therefore had the proper "rake" to it. Cool.... --Andy Mace |
