This information may not be very helpful, and the IRS shocks are probably
different from those of the solid axle. The orange painted shocks in the
60's were considered the competition shocks. Some people used STP for shock
fluid. We use to fill them with the old heavy Castrol vegetable oil to
prevent the shock seal deterioration.
I imagine that you are going to scientifically change the internals somehow.
I guess that you are not a coil-over man yet!
