The Porsche club differentiates its cars in part by degree of
modifications. Your comments implied that there are modifications now allowed
in vintage that would not have been allow (or available ) prior to 1972 (and
probably somein 1972, that would not have existed for that 1967 date that
Bill mentioned).
Do you think that it would be possible to easily draw up a list of such
modifications that would act as class difference between accurately prepared
cars and those using post 1972 technology setups. (I realize that opens a can
of worms with respect to flares which were allowed in 1972).
The next question would be is there some improvements which would go
beyond the ( typical mid-1980s standards that you referred to) and could be
used to place them as open class with current SCCA racecars?
