Yes, we did run races OUT OF REGION and this added to the divisional point
total towards the Championship at years end. I was running cars all during
the 60's and in fact the first TR-4 with Charlie Gates driving. I was also
quite active in pressing for the "run offs" with Jerry Titus of Sport Car
Graphic. Lots of political moves were made and checked and counter-checked
in that deal. The 1963 deal was silly in most peoples mind but that was how
it happened.
