*The rod bolt torque should be based on bolt stretch. You need to find out
from carillo how much stretch there should be, and then measure it at
certain torque readings to find the correct setting. Your machine shop
should be able to measure the stretch.

*My machine shop told me to initially run the engine at 2500-3000 RPMs,using
30 wt non detergent oil for about 20 minutes. Then change the oil to
something like Valvoline 20-50 racing oil, and use that for the first
ontrack session. Change the oil again (between sessions), again wiith the
20-50. Don't use the synthetic until you have a couple weekends on the car,
since the synthetic won't let the rings seat. I slide a muffler onto my
exhaust pipe to keep the neighbors happy.
