Bill,

Double check scca regs. Like new seat belts with old dates on them not
passing tech, SFI intended to have a time limit on suits per a date, or by
changing the SFI numbers with time, not on the years used. I have a nifty
suit that is legal without the underwear, a plus in very hot weather. It is
a RaceQuip SFI 3-2A/S that Redline
Oil provided for our 92 ARRC win. I was wearing a Worth suit at the time,
which
had a number of product patches to cover holes (at least we used nomex
thread!). Worth also provided a new suit for the win.
Bell Motorsports is in Oakland, CA

We made our own SU inlet devices to fit in the airbox, deal with the TR3 inner
fender proximity, and dyno results for that specific motor.

We ran OD wide ratio for some tracks, OD close ratio for others, and just
close ratio
for others. We spent many hours changing the gearboxes and axles. I
developed the wide ratio OD so that I could occasionally use 1st OD for tight
corners like the spike at Riverside, or the end of the drag strip at
Carlsbad. I used 2nd OD all the time, and at Sears Point we could do the
entire sequence up on the hill in 3/ 3OD.
With a dash mounted switch I could keep both hands on the wheel during such
sequences.
The day that I did not quite catch up with Jack; I had a 4 speed CR, the flu,
and a sinus infection; so draw your own conclusions on the wall. Just
remember that it
was a Great Triumph 1 - 2 finish!
