One last email on the TR4A (for today anyway). This car came with a
scattershield. It's about 3/16 material, bolts to the frame/floor mount
under the firewall with an additional bolt hole drilled 4" farther back.
It is placed outside the tunnel cover, and as such the shield must be
removed prior to pulling the tunnel cover. It should be a breeze on a
car that wasn't left to rot. It also is lightened on the passenger side,
with 1/3 of the shield open in the center. This is a nice piece, and I
can't help but wonder if anyone would be interested in buying these if I
could get some made. How about an informal survey. What is the market
for something like this?
