I've tried all that stuff of water wetter, restrictor sleeves,
thermostat / no thermostat and could never make any of it work, but
maybe somebody else has. The $190 aluminum stock car radiator is sure a
relatively cheap and easy solution. By the way, it WOULD have been legal
in the 60's -- SCCA rules were that you could run any radiator that
could be mounted to the original mounting points, which just take two
little brackets to make it work.
