We have used old Facets for years and never a failure. Even carry a spare when
we cros country tour for the street cars. Esy to hook up and requires little
if any pressure regulation unless you are cammed and webered to the nth degree
with 13:1 comp.!! Hardly a vintage setup. I have seen many Mallories take a
dump (old point type and solid state) or get the Regulator out of wack when it
was critical. Guess both could be made to work with enough experience. Know
many who swear by Mallory. But definitely put the pump in the trunk near the
fuel cell. And DO BUY a fuel cell. Even the $250 plastic ones with roll over
shut off's are safer than the original tanks. And the foam gives you much
better dynamic slosh protection than the old steel tank's baffles.

As far as fuel line...braided line can split at the fittings...and can swell
internally without being seen. We use late model fuel injection rubber line.GM
or Ford or Chrysler. Japanese hose has split twice for us...from Honda and
Toyota. Must be something in the way they spec the rubber I guess.(Or it knows
it's going out to pass Miata's on the street!...smile) Ford and GM type
usually has a fiber cloth type outer casing. Easier to install or repair than
steel braid and a lot cheaper. We run a sold steel line with one mid break
thru the inside of the car along the passenger rocker panel front to rear.
Keeps you free from damage when you run off or get stone cuts under the car.
Maybe more of a factor in the desert tracks out here, but it sure is piece of
mind seeing the line intact when you glance about than to wonder what's
leaking under the car.

As far as hook up's to carbs...simple worm clamps in stainless...nothing
fancy. For 4-6 Psi why spend more? Good luck.
