And, in fact, its kinda fun to beat a "cheater" car when you
know that you, yourself, are squeaky clean.

There was a recent example discussed on another list where
an open wheel driver (with the engine's air intake behind
the driver's head) who stashed a small nitrous bottle in
his fire suit with a nozzle sticking up behind his helmet.

Then there was the driver of a non-Triumph car that also
had replaceable cylinder liners.  After running for part
of the season with an oversize engine, he put legal liners
in and had a friend protest him (and even provided the teardown
bond fees for the friend).  After the teardown that "proved" him 
to be legal, the tech inspectors handed back the engine in
pieces and he put the big jugs back in.  And everyone "knew"
that he was legal - he'd been measured already.

I guess it depends on whether "winning" is more important
than "winning with dignity" if you will.  If your living
depends on winning, I guess one's attitude might change a
bit.
