My roadster is garage bound with a leaky differential. The drain plug is
fine, but it leaks at the fill plug. I tried a new plug, Teflon tape,
Loctite Thread Sealer, but still had a drip. Looking closely at the axle
housing, I can see that a PO ad installed a heli-coil. Not sure what I
might try next to fix it, but at least I know where I can get a different
axle. I just hate to think of the work involved in swapping it out.
